What's the history of Katong Park?
Katong Park is one of the oldest parks in Singapore, built in the 1930s on the site of the former Fort Tanjong Katong. It used to face the sea until East Coast land reclamation in 1966. It was also home to the long-forgotten Fort Tanjong Pagar, a 1879 naval military installation.
